Current Events #2 B

Hello sir or madam,

As you may know, tomorrow is election day. You may think that this is not relevant to you but it can be. Wait, hode dup, it's will be relevant to you. You may ask why? Say it, "why?" Oh my Goodness, you just asked the wisest question you could in the history of questions. The answer- we are students, (no offense if you're a drop out) and both the president and Romney have different approaches when it comes to education.

Obama: Wants to focus on math and science because he is hiring 100,000 more math and science teachers for the next 10 years. Will continue supporting his Race to the Top program. (read more about Race to the Top here: http://www2.ed.gov/programs/racetothetop/index.html)
Will cut post-secondary (college, etc) tuition cost and help with loans. Goal is to have the highest proportion of students graduating from post-secondary schools by 2020.

Romney: Wants to improve educational offerings. Gives families more freedom in choosing schools based of its performance. Will reform No Child Left Behind program to better schools' performance. Has no goals but will work with both state and private sectors to better academic performance.

This is a lot more that I didn't cover but as you can see, this can, and will affect us. My point has been made. Bye.

Love
